Privacy Policy

1. Data / Information Stored by Simple Invoice Manager
(1a.) Data stored on our servers for ALL THE USERS WHO INSTALL THE APP

i. IP Address: The IP address of the user is captured on the first run of the application. We use a third-party API (http://ip-api.com/json) to resolve the country of the user from the IP address. The country is used to automate various settings within the app such as country, currency, number format, date format, tax settings, and financial year cycle. We have different prices for different countries, and therefore this field may also affect the prices of our products. The IP address is retrieved only once on first execution and is not stored on our servers or within the persistent storage of the app.

ii. Unique ID of Device: This field is captured automatically. It is used to uniquely identify a user’s device for payment attribution-related support queries and to ensure fair usage of the trial period by any single device.

iii. Make and Model of Device: This helps us address support queries related to specific devices. In-app subscriptions can be used across devices. When users send support emails, they typically refer to the make and model of the devices being used.

iv. Organization Name: As entered by the user in the invoice header section, so that users can be identified by their business name when they make support queries.

v. Contact Person: As entered by the user in the invoice header section, so that users can be identified by their personal name when they make support queries.

vi. Google Accounts: Since a user making an in-app purchase may have multiple Google accounts on their device, they may have made the purchase from any of those accounts. Many users do not know which account made the purchase. They may make the purchase from account A while submitting a support query using the email of account B. To reliably map in-app purchases to support queries, the app attempts to capture the list of Google accounts on the device.

vii. App Version: Technical issues may be related to specific app versions.

viii. Language of App Usage: Technical issues may be related to specific app languages.

ix. OS Version: Technical issues may be related to specific OS versions.

x. Timestamp of the above information:

(1b.) Data stored on our servers for CLOUD ACCOUNT USERS

(Users who make in-app purchases and purchase our subscription)

Any user who makes an in-app purchase or takes a monthly or annual subscription must register using a valid email and password. Such users automatically get access to our cloud storage service feature. All the details entered within the app by such a user are then stored on the cloud storage servers of Tacktile Systems Private Limited. This information is stored on the cloud so that it can be accessed by the user on another Android device or using our web-based platform at www.simpleinvoiceweb.com by providing the correct username and password. By creating a cloud account, you consent to store all the data entered by you within the app on our cloud servers. Our cloud servers are in San Francisco, USA. It is up to the user to determine whether the laws of their country and organization allow them to store this data on a cloud server in San Francisco, USA.

Details entered by the user are decided solely by the user and may include personal details such as name, address, contacts, client details, and more. All this information is the sole property of the user and is stored at the user’s own discretion. This information is never used for marketing purposes and is never shared with any third party.

For users who have not registered for a cloud account, the details of invoices generated, clients, products, or any other information except for those mentioned above in section 1(a), which is entered within the mobile application while using it, are not stored on any storage media or server affiliated with or owned by Tacktile Systems Private Limited. They remain confined to the user’s device and/or storage services used personally by the user. We therefore bear no liability for the privacy or security of this information for those who do not use our cloud services.

2. Various Files Created / Accessed / Stored by the App and Its Purpose

The app may create and access files on your device for the following purposes:

• Backup and Restore Functionality: You can create backups as files and restore them if you reinstall the device. Such files may be transferred to another device by you for restoring your data.
• Creating PDF / Images / XLS: Files may be created for invoices, estimates, orders, and other similar documents or reports.
• Logo and Signature: Users can create an image file for the logo of their organization and an image of their signature. This logo and signature are embedded in invoices, estimates, orders, reports, and other documents created by the user using this app.
• Log files: Log files can be generated and uploaded to our server for troubleshooting and for fixing errors related to data in your app. These log files may also capture usage behavior such as install date, app version, registration date, and similar information for diagnostics and troubleshooting purposes.

3. How do we use your information?

We may use the above information in the following ways:

• To provide cloud services to our paid subscribers
• To better service you in responding to your customer service requests
• To quickly process your transactions
• To resolve any payment or delivery-related issues
• To process refund requests for orders, when considered reasonable by management

4. How do we protect your information?

• We never directly collect, process, or store your credit card or payment details within the app. All payments and subscriptions are processed by our third-party payment processors — Stripe, Razorpay, and PayPal — each of which is certified compliant with the current PCI Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). Because we do not handle card data ourselves, we do not perform our own vulnerability scanning or PCI compliance scanning.
• We use an SSL certificate for transmission of all data between the device and our servers.
• Although we make our best efforts to maintain the privacy of your data, you agree to share any data at your own risk, and we assume no liability in case of any theft or breach of your data by any malicious third-party use without our consent.

5. Third-party disclosure

We do not knowingly sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. We do, however, use Google Analytics to analyze user behavior and improve the product without collecting personally identifiable information for that purpose.

6. Third-party links

• We do not include or offer third-party products or services on our website.
• We do use Google Analytics to analyze user behavior and improve the product without collecting personally identifiable information for that purpose. For more details, please review the Google Analytics Terms of Service.
• We use Stripe, Razorpay, and PayPal to process payments for subscriptions and purchases made within the app. Depending on your region and chosen payment method, you may be directed to one of these providers to complete your payment. When you make a payment, your billing information (such as your name, email address, and payment details) is submitted directly to the relevant provider and is subject to that provider’s own privacy policy: Stripe, Razorpay, and PayPal. We do not receive or store your full card details.
